The series of bitmap drawings below shows a series of wheelchair type 90-degree left turn drawings in smallest-to-largest order followed by an overlay composite bitmap drawing that compares all of the 90-degree left turns directly to each other.

Please note in the drawings an important difference between the first three and the latter two types.

In the case of the later power wheelchair, the manual wheelchair, and the later rehab chair, the center of the wheelchair travels over the center of the turn "track".

In the case of the earlier power and rehab wheelchairs and the scooter wheelchair, the center of each of these chairs travels some distance to the right of the "track" center.

These drawings graphicly illustrate the difference in the lesser manuevering room in the turn needed by the first three wheelchair types and the greater manuevering room needed by the latter two types -- especially the scooter wheelchair.
